The legislator who sponsored the bill should have asked the lady if that's the type of world she wants to live in, one where the government micromanages our lives to the point of mandating how we transport our children.

Or you could look at it that their is so much to know out there that if repeated studies show that a high seat in your car reduces the risk to your child. Legislation is a sensible step, saying your human right is to transport your child in a hazardous manner is fairly primative response. The only real removal of rights is the removal of your right to endanger yourself or others, you may not like it but being a governing body is given away in the title helping to guide people in their every day. You may not like having to abide with the change but you will soon get used to it.
