Christopher Swope

For what it's worth, I see enough Segways here in Washington that I no longer look twice at them. If anything, they're not far off from becoming the sidewalk hazard that critics all along feared they would become. Seriously. I nearly got run over by a lady on a Segway the other day.

Short of being a great gizmo for the disabled, I think Segways should be legislated off the sidewalk. Like Chris, I nearly became sidewalk paint after some over zealous man on his Segway tried to run me over. And what? After a day in front of your computer, you can't walk yourself to your apartment? I was in Georgetown a couple weeks ago, and they have a shop on the lower level of Georgetown Park. You can buy a Segway for offroading, I kid you not!
