Alan Greenblatt

In terms of regulating animal cruelty, don't forget Florida's constitutional ban, passed by voters in 2002, against crating pregnant pigs.

J. T. Spence

Fattening ducks and geese in the manner you have described certainly sounds inhumane. Can we hear from the chicken, cow, pig and fish special interest groups also however. I am sure that they don't appreciate being prepared for the table of human consumption anymore than ducks and geese! Gheesh, what ever happened to allowing people to decide for themselves what they will consume? Its not like anyone that eats the stuff doesn't already understand the process used to prepare the meal. This is one case where the market might be a better place for this discussion than the legislature.
